Noida Toll Bridge sees 5.4% dip in net
Noida Toll Bridge Company Ltd, which operates the Delhi-Noida-Delhi flyway, has reported a 5.4 per cent fall in profit at Rs 6.9 crore in the quarter ending June 30. The profit for the same period last year was at Rs 7.3 crore. The fall in profit is due to a higher provision of taxes in the current quarter for minimum alternative tax and deferred tax liability. The average daily traffic grew by 5 per cent from 93,997 to 98,746 vehicles in this quarter.
Sona Koyo Steering back in profit
Sona Koyo Steering Systems, the largest manufacturer of steering systems in the country, on Friday reported a net profit of Rs 0.86 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2009, compared with a loss of Rs 1.63 crore recorded in the same quarter of the previous fiscal. Net sales grew by 9.78 per cent to Rs 187.07 crore against Rs 170.39 crore in the same period last year.
