Solix Technologies has launched a new product, ArchiveJinni, which is an innovative archiving solution to address the problems caused by rapid accumulation of data in Oracle applications environment.
Developed by Solix's offshore development centre in the city, the product while managing the huge data size, purges and archives historical data that are inactive most of the time, and yet allows simultaneous access to both production as well as archived data, a release said.
The data growth in Oracle Applications hampers application performance, besides increasing the cycle time for Oracle 11i upgrades. It is also the main cause for slowing down of critical data back-up activity.
With ArchiveJinni, the performance and availability of Oracle applications could be vastly enhanced as it now needs to process only a fraction of the data size as production data, Debasish Pattnaik, the Solix India’s country head, said in a release.
