| Obama job approval rating increases after Haiti quake |

Obama's job approval rating has increased in the last one week due to his handling of the US response to the earthquake in Haiti, as a result of which he ends his first year in office with an average 50 per cent approval rating, according to opinion polls.
While the latest Gallup Poll puts Obama's job approval at 57 per cent at the end of his first year in office, the CBS and Fox News channels say it is at 50 per cent.
The CNN/Opinion Research put Obama's job arrival rating at 51 per cent, Quinnipiac gives him the lowest job approval rating at 45 per cent.
According to ABC News/Washington Post, 53 per cent of the American approves his job; while Rasmussen Report and National Journal put the job approval rating at 47 per cent.
Though all these opinion polls give a different job approval ratings for Obama; these polls are unanimous that Obama's popularity is far below than what it was a year ago; when he entered the White House on January 20, 2009.
They also agree that Obama's job approval rating which had dropped below 50 per cent in the last couple of weeks; have improved due to his handling of the US response towards the Haiti earthquake.
President Obama completes his first year in office with his job approval rating rising in the past week to 50 per cent now, according to a new CBS News poll.
"His handling of the US response to the earthquake in Haiti receives widespread approval," the news channel said.
