| Paras launches ayurvedic cough syrup |

Ahmedabad-based Paras Pharmaceuticals has launched its new product, D'Cold Natural cough syrup.
The company is promoting the Ayurvedic syrup as a natural remedy for cold and cough, due to its main ingredent—turmeric (haldi). "D'Cold Natural with Active Haldi is the latest innovation in the product category of remedies available for cold and cough. Haldi has been a time tested remedy in India widely trusted by mothers for it’s therapeutic properties. D'Cold Natural has all natural ingredients and there are no active chemicals added. Besides, the taste is a major plus factor for children," S. Raghunandan, managing director and chief executive officer of Paras, said on the occasion of the launch.
The FMCG company recently introduced Moov – Neck & Shoulder. Commenting on this, Ajay Rawal, general manager, healthcare division of Paras said, "This was a logical opportunity for a brand like Moov to amplify the ‘Backache Specialist’ positioning on which the mother brand Moov has been built on. The new brand i.e. Moov Neck & Shoulder targets the younger working class. Moov Neck & Shoulder product formula comprises a unique anti-inflammatory system (AIS) which helps reduce soreness, swelling and inflammation and thereby reduces pain. Thus, the new Moov Neck & Shoulder is a ‘Neck and Shoulder Specialist’.
Paras Pharmaceutical reported sales of more than Rs400 crore in the last fiscal. The company has over four decades of experience in the consumer arena with a series of successful brand launches.
The company has brands such as Moov, Krack, Itchguard and Dermicool in its portfolio under the OTC segment. The consumer brands include Livon, Dermicool, Recova, Set Wet Hair Gel, Set Wet Deo, to name a few.
