Paul Hotels and Resorts, promoted by the chairman of John Distilleries Ltd, is planning toacquire a beach property in Maldives or any other South East Asian nations to increase its hospitality footprint.

“Though something concrete is yet to be finalised, our acquisition range varies from Rs 100-150 crore in this segment,” Paul P John, chairman of John Distilleries Ltd, said.

John said that both properties would have an expected turnover of Rs 50 crore in the present fiscal.

He also said, the company might consider going public in the first half of 2011 to further its business growth.
