Petron Engineering Construction was up over 5.5 per cent to Rs 148.15 on volumes of over 41,000 as the engineering construction and repair services company announced it received the letter of award from Sichuan Fortune Project Management (China) for erection work of two 330 mw power plants of Adani Power at Mundra, Gujarat, for a total estimated contract value of Rs 37.76 crore.
The scrip hasn't had a great time at the bourses in the past year and has declined by over 17 per cent in this period, taking yesterday's closing price. Since the beginning of this month, the scrip has had quite a mixed time and has fluctuated in the Rs 138-146 range.
