The Petron Engineering Construction scrip surged 5.4 per cent to Rs 115.9 on bagging a fresh order. The company has received a Rs 48-crore order from Jaiprakash Associates.

Petron would do mechanical fabrication and erection work for Jaypee Balaji Cement project in Krishna district, Andhra Pradesh. The stock opened at Rs 116 and made an intraday high of Rs 119.6 and a low of Rs 111.95. The stock touched a 52-week high of Rs 290 (August 12, 2008) and a low of Rs 58.05 (March 19, 2009).
