On the last day of campaigning, BJP and Congress have roped in their star campaigners for electioneering in the state.
It may be noted that campaigning will be ending today at 5.00 pm, 48 hours before the voting scheduled on April 30. All 26 parliamentary constituencies of the state will go for voting in one go.
BJP's star campaigner and Chief Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to address four public meetings in Anand, Bhiloda, Viramgam and Palanpur.
Congress' general secretary Rahul Gandhi is also scheduled to address four election meetings in Bardoli, Limbdi, Mehsana and Surendranagar.
Moreover, BJP's prime ministerial candidate L K Advani is also holding road shows in the various areas of his Lok Sabha constituency. Advani is also scheduled to meet the press persons at 12.30 pm today.
Advani, who has been here campaigning in the various parts of his constituency, had yesterday held three roadshows and one public meeting in Ahmedabad.
Meanwhile, along with political temperature, heatwave is sweeping the state with most of the major cities reeling under high level of mercury crossing 43 to 46.
