He may have finally won the battle for the chief minister’s job, but Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister K Rosaiah is still powerless, or at least he was for an embarrassing 20 minutes on Thursday, and that too in front of visiting US Ambassador Timothy J Roemer. According to a PTI report, Rosaiah, who also holds the energy portfolio in the state, reached the Samatha Block in the secretariat when there was a power breakdown. He was forced to wait in the lobby since the back up power didn’t work either. With the power supply not getting restored, Rosaiah had no option but to wait in the dingy media room and to sit on a rusty iron chair. Since Roemer had arrived by then, he too sat next to Rosaiah and both waited for another 20 minutes or so till the power came back on.
