Pranab, Sushma in Business Advisory Committee of LS

Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee, senior BJP leader Sushma Swaraj and Congress member V Kishore Chandra Deo are among the 14 members of the Business Advisory Committee of the Lok Sabha.

Besides Mukherjee, who is leader of the Lok Sabha, the committee, headed by Speaker Meira Kumar, will have four other members from the Congress, three from BJP and one each from Samajwadi Party, BSP, JD(U), Trinamool Congress, DMK and CPI(M).      

Parliamentary Affairs Minister P K Bansal and his deputy V Narayanasamy are the special invitees to the committee which decides the business of the House.      

Former Minister T R Baalu (DMK) is a member of the Committee in which former Ministers Paban Singh Ghatowar and Girija Vyas have also been included. Thokchom Meinya (Cong) is also a member.

Besides Swaraj, Anant Kumar and Ramesh Bais are the BJP members in the committee.      

Shailendra Kumar (SP), Dara Singh Chauhan (BSP), Ram Sundar Das (JD-U) and Sudip Bandopadhya (TC) and Basudeb Acharia (CPI-M) are the other members of the committee.      

With the complexion of the 15th Lok Sabha having undergone a change, representatives of RJD, CPI and NCP are not in the committee, unlike in the previous House.
