Prasar Bharati’s (PB’s) move to invite expressions of interest (EOIs) for coverage of the forthcoming Commonwealth Games of 2010 has attracted the ire of a parliamentary panel member of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting (I&B), who has sought the prime minister’s intervention in thematter.

Lok Sabha and I&B ministry’s parliamentary panel member Hanan Mollah has sought intervention of Prime Minister Manmohan Singh to immediately stop the Prasar Bharati from “taking steps against national interest”.
