PSTL appoints Vikramaditya Narayan as Vice President - Marketing

Pyramid Saimira Theatre Ltd. has announced the appointment of Mr. Vikramaditya Narayan as Vice President – Marketing, Pyramid Saimira Theatre Ltd. His key responsibilities will include chalking out marketing and business development strategies for the all group companies operated by Pyramid Saimira Group.

Speaking on the appointment, Mr. P. S. Saminathan, Group Chairman, Pyramid Saimira Group, said, "We are very happy to have on board, Vikramaditya, who will head the marketing initiatives for all the theatres that we operate, globally. The last fiscal has seen us grow exponentially and our businesses have become more diversified. With the kind of experience that Vikramaditya brings, combined with his keen business sense and understanding of the marketing arena, we believe that we will cross many more milestones this year."

Vikramaditya brings with him, close to 18 years of rich experience in the media and entertainment sector. Prior to joining Pyramid Saimira, he was with Eros International Limited where he headed all the business functions, including building the dealer network, adoption of new technology, web marketing and media planning for Eros' projects, to name a few. Vikramaditya has also imparted training tools to faculties in universities outside India and worked with reputed companies like National Geographic, TV 18, Wizcraft, DNA, Publicis & Leo Burnett, VISA and MASTERCARD.

A graduate from an International Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT), his expertise in the management institute gave him leverage to do things beyond.

Its group holding Company, Pyramid Saimira Theatre Limited, is publicly listed in National Stock Exchange (NSE: PSTL) and Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE: 532791). In the exhibition sector, it has over 53 multiplexes with approximately 955 screens across India, Malaysia, Singapore and North America. Pyramid Saimira Theatre Ltd. has recently signed an agreement with Spize TV, a UK-based DTH player, as well as an arts and cultural cooperation agreement with the China Society of Music Research Board (CSRMB) to operate theatres, distribute films and further engage in other entertainment and cultural activities in China. By 2010, the Group plans to operate 175 multiplexes with 2,000 screens in India alone. By its own estimates, Pyramid Saimira ranks as the world's third largest cinema operator based on its number of seats and admissions with nearly 4,34,975 seats as of April 2008.
