| Present system of recruitment in PSBs is expensive for both ie, candidates & Banks.Earlier, their were BSRBs to conduct exam atleast for 2/3 banks at a time. Cost was less and candidates were able to apply for a number of banks for just paying Rs. 40/-. Now, a candidate has to apply foreach Bank seperately and to pay Rs. 400/- as fee. Moreover, now Banks ask to deposit fee at their branches only. When we know that there is a hardly any Bank except SBI which has branches even in all districts. This way, Banks' recruitment is losing its national charecter. The talk of quality recruitment has no meaning when examination body is one & same for all Banks. It is the high time when MOF should intervene and a common examination should be conducted for all Banks & fee should be nominal and be collected through various mopde of payments including Bank Drafts. |
