| Punj Lloyd bags Rs 1,873 cr infra project in Libya |

Engineering major Punj Lloyd today said it has bagged three contracts worth Rs 1,873.18 crore from the Housing and Infrastructure Board of Libya for infrastructure related works in the African nation.
Under the project, the Indian firm would be responsible for the designing, procurement, installation and commissioning of utilities in three towns of Libya — Zawara, Ragdaleen and Al Jamail, Punj Lloyd said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange.
Utilities for these projects consist of developing roads, networks for drinking water, sewage water and storm water, electrical and telecommunication work.
"This is our third infrastructure project in Libya with the same client," Punj Lloyd MD Vimal Kaushik said.
The completion period of this project is 48 months, the company added.
Including these contracts, the order backlog for Punj Lloyd Group on consolidated basis has gone to Rs 23,939.21 crore, it said.
Shares of Punj Lloyd were trading at Rs 219 on BSE, up 2.34 per cent over the previous close.
