| PVR to open over 30 screens within next 6 months |

PVR, India's largest cinema chain, will open 30-40 more screens across the country in the next six months, a senior company official said.
"We are planning to open 30-40 screens at an investment of Rs 1.5-1.7 crore per screen within the next six months," PVR's Vice-President (Business Development), Vijay Kapoor told reporters here today.
The total money to be pumped in is likely to be over Rs 30-40 crore.PVR, a joint venture between Priya Exhibitors Private Limited and Village Roadshow Limited, had launched its commercial operations in 1997.
PVR also plans to invest Rs 300-400 crore to open 250 screens by 2010, according to its official website.
PVR operates 26 cinemas with a total of 108 screens in Delhi, Faridabad, Gurgaon, Ludhiana, Ghaziabad, Mumbai, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Lucknow, Indore, Aurangabad, Baroda and Latur.
