R-Infra, Parsvnath & Essar Shipping Q1 result

R-Infra posts net profit of Rs 317 cr
Anil Ambani-promoted Reliance Infrastructure (R-Infra) has posted a net profit of Rs 317 crore for the first quarter ended June 30, an increase of 25 per cent over the Rs 253-crore net profit in the corresponding quarter of previous year. The better profits are mainly on account of interest from cash reserves and forex gains, which together contributed Rs 244 crore during the quarter. Total operating income of the company increased by 7 per cent during the quarter to Rs 2,446 crore, against Rs 2,290 crore in the corresponding previous year period.

Parsvnath’s net crashes by 81%
Delhi-based Parsvnath Developers has reported a decline of 81 per cent in its consolidated results for the quarter ended June 30, 2009, at Rs 13.81 crore, compared with Rs 73.96 crore for the corresponding period last year. The company’s revenue for the quarter declined by 69 per cent at Rs 115.29 crore, compared with Rs 376.42 crore for the corresponding period last year.

Essar Shipping reports Rs 60-cr profit
Essar Shipping Ports & Logistics reported a Rs 6.13-crore net profit for the quarter ending June 30, compared with a loss of Rs 72.75 crore in the previous year. The company reported a Rs 676.35-crore revenue for the quarter, compared with Rs 635 crore a year ago.
