Radhe Group joins hands with Indonesian state

Expects Rs 10K crore bilateral trade in a decade.

Rajkot-based Radhe Group of Companies has joined hands with South Sulawesi government, an Indonesian state, to form a joint venture company Radhe Kritika Nusntara (RaKaN).

A known company in the renewable energy sector in India, Radhe Group is now looking at international market for its various products including agriculture items of Saurashtra region.

The company is hoping for Rs 10,000 crore worth bilateral trades through new venture RaKaN in next 10 years.

"The new company will give platform to Saurashtra and Gujarat-based companies who want to export their products to the Indonesia. The region has large numbers of agriculture equipment companies and South Sulawesi is the leading agriculture state of Indonesia so we have huge business opportunity over there," Sailesh Makadia, chairman and managing director of Radhe Group.

According to Makadia, "South Sulawesi has full of natural resources and it is very helpful for renewable energy. Our prime focus is on bio mass energy. We will supply technical support and agriculture equipment to South Sulawesi as per requirements."

"South Sulawesi is the key trading place for exports and imports in eastern part of Indonesia. Every year, the state's imports comes to about $ 1.5 billion. Moreover it is leading centre of agriculture and till the date traditional methods use to do agriculture. This joint venture will open doors for new technology in agriculture in the state," said, Andi Mohammad Ghalib, ambassador, Indonesia.

Talking about the joint venture, “We are welcomes any Indian Company to invest in Indonesia”, said Syahrul Yasin Limpo, Chief Minister (Governor), South Sulawesi, Indonesia.

Radhe Group's annual revenues are in excess of Rs 250 crore. The group enjoys global leadership in its businesses, being the leading manufacturer of gasified plant and briquetting machines at a growth rate of 300 per cent.
