Realty index slumps 10%

The BSE Realty index tumbled 10.5% to 3,605.

Indiabulls Real Estate slumped 10% to Rs 208. Around 3 million shares were traded on the BSE today.

Unitech dropped 14% to Rs 84. Around 34 million shares were traded today at the BSE.

DLF slipped 10.3% to Rs 366. The counter witnessed trades of 3.3 million shares on the BSE today.

Mahindra & Mahindra, HDIL, Omaxe, Phoenix Mills, Anant Raj Industries, Akruti, Sobha Developers, Orbit  Corporation and Peninsula Land declined 2-13% each.

The BSE Realty index has shed 5% to 3,828, however the eight real estate firms including Unitech, Parsvnath and Sobha Developers are looking to raise more than Rs 25,000 crore together through sales of shares in near future.

Indiabulls Real Estate has declined around 7% to Rs 216. The stock has clocked volumes of  1.8 million shares at the BSE.

Unitech has tumbled 5% to Rs 93. The counter has witnessed trades of 11.7 million shares on the counter at the BSE.

DLF is down 3.5% at Rs 394. Around 1.5 million shares have been traded on the BSE.

Omaxe has slumped 7% to Rs 113. Peninsula Land has slipped over 6.5% to Rs 67.35.

Phoenix Mills, Anant Raj, Mahindra & Mahindra, Sobha Developers,Parsvanath, Ansal Infrastructures and HDFC are down 3-5% each.

Orbit Corporation on the other hand has gained 2.7% at 233.
