Rejig at Mahindra Satyam likely on Mon
Bibhu Ranjan Mishra / Bangalore Jun 27, 2009, 00:34 IST

Mahindra Satyam, the rebranded IT services firm (earlier Satyam Computer Services), is set for a major organisational restructuring after the new CEO C P Gurnani took over this week. The new structure, expected to be announced by the company on Monday, aims at introducing more agility in decision making by tightly integrating various verticals, delivery units and sales units within the company, a highly-placed source told Business Standard.

It is also understood that the company is planning to do away with certain roles and verticals, and re-design these to see that there is no conflict of interest with Tech Mahindra, the new owner of Mahindra Satyam. This is expected to see the exit of many senior people, who are expected to be replaced by certain senior executives of Tech Mahindra who fit into the role, and some people from outside the company.

"The company is redesigning the whole structure, which has become imperative under the new management. The heads of various business units and geographies are expected to be changed. The company has decided to do a mix and match with the old-timers (of Satyam) and senior Tech Mahindra employees to fill these positions,” the source added in the condition of anonymity.

this was expected to happen. All that government said and did was to win the election. Both the auditors should be hanged in public and now to quote today's press, PwC allowed some tom-dick and harry firm to use its name and got paid 3-4 crores per year. At the end of the day, it is investors and the employees who are hit very badly.
