Religare Capital Markets appoints Robert Munro as Chief Operating Officer

Religare Capital Markets (RCML), the emerging markets investment banking arm of financial services powerhouse Religare Enterprises, is pleased to announce the appointment of Robert Munro as its global Chief Operating Officer.  

Rob joins RCML’s growing London team with twenty years of financial services experience, latterly as a Managing Director at UBS as European Head of Prime Brokerage. While at UBS Rob also acted as Chair of the Global Prime Brokerage Services Board and was a Board Member of the Investment Bank. 

Rob is the latest in a wave of senior management appointments at RCML in London and Asia. His arrival is a significant step in establishing the operational infrastructure needed to underpin RCML’s ongoing creation of an emerging markets investment banking proposition of product breadth and global reach. In addition to senior hires in equity capital markets and corporate advisory, RCML continues to build out its sector research capability.

Rob started his banking career at Goldman Sachs in London in Securities Lending before moving to Hong Kong in 1994 to head that product for Asia (ex-Japan). He returned to London where he became European Head of Prime Brokerage and was promoted to Managing Director.
