Remax ties up with Franchise India; to deal Rs 10k cr properties
Press Trust of India / New Delhi Jul 12, 2010, 18:25 IST

Global property brokerage firm Remax today said it will expand its services in India, for which it has roped in marketing and retail consultancy company Franchise India.

The two partners are in touch with realty majors like DLF, Unitech and Parsvnath, to represent the residential properties of the developers.

"Remax did brokerage of properties worth Rs 100 crore in last one year and it is targeting to deal in realty properties worth Rs 10,000 crore in the next five years," Remax India Director Sam Chopra told PTI.

Currently consultancy services of Remax provide employment to about 500 people both directly and indirectly. "In five years, the number will grow to 60,000," he added.

The company today announced its tie up with Franchise India to open 25 outlets across India to deal with commercial properties within next two years.

The partners are planning to start brokerage of housing properties also through its planned 25 offices.

"We plan to expand and tie up with developers for the residential sectors. We are already working with all major developers -- DLF, Unitech, Parsvnath and Omaxe -- for their commercial properties and now we are in talks for their housing segment," Franchise India President Gaurav Marya said.    Franchise India will invest Rs 5 crore in opening 25 offices by 2012 and these are expected to give direct or indirect employment to about 200 people," he added.
