RIL's gas output to double by next fiscal

Reliance Industries' (RIL) eastern offshore KG D-6 field's gas production will double to around 90 million standard cubic meters per day (mmscmd) by next fiscal, government's background material for the Economic Editor's Conference said.

KG D-6 is currently producing about 45 mmscmd gas, which will rise to 60 mmscmd by December and to 70 mmscmd in January, the paper said.

The output from the field will rise to 82 mmscmd by March 2010 and will continue in the range of 82-89 mmscmd up to March 2012.
