Anil Ambani group firm Reliance Natural Resources (RNRL) today reported a 7.28 per cent rise in net profit at Rs 17.24 crore for the first quarter ended June 30, 2009.
The company had a net profit of Rs 16.07 crore in the corresponding quarter of the pervious fiscal.
Total income rose to Rs 115.46 crore during the same quarter, from Rs 92.92 crore in the corresponding period a year ago, RNRL said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).
Shares of RNRL closed at Rs 83.85, up 1.39 per cent on the Bombay Stock Exchange.
