Sage India launches payroll software for SMEs

Software solutions provider Sage India today announced the launch of its payroll software designed for small and medium businesses to help companies with their salary-related operations.     

The Payroll software, 'Sage Pocket' comes in two versions — professional and premium — along with online modules available as add-ons, Sage said in a statement.

The Sage Pocket Professional solution is configurable and allows the user to set statutory regulations, calculate income tax, track reimbursements and generate pay slips.     

Employee master details can be maintained with the option to upload all the necessary documents, it said.     

"Having an efficient Payroll process in place is crucial for employee satisfaction and compliance with statutory requirements. Sage Pocket has been simplified for Partner network of Sage to easily sell and implement it for their customers," Sage India Managing Director Thomas Abraham said.     

"We expect to substantially increase our penetration in the Indian market with these new releases," he added.     

Further, the Sage Pocket Premium solution is an advanced version for multi-user, multi-firm and for up to 1,000 employees. With a starting price of Rs 25,000, Sage Pocket is now available with all authorised partners of Sage, he said.     

Meanwhile, Sage Pocket's set of modules available online enable employees to have an online access to information relating to human resources, leaves and claims.
