Satyam appoints new leadership for ANZ region
BS Reporter / Mumbai Jun 01, 2009, 11:02 IST

Satyam Computer Services, announced two new appointments for its Australia and New Zealand region. Venki Prathivadi has been appointed as the new country manager for Satyam Australia and New Zealand (ANZ) and Vijay Prasad will be the principal advisor to the region.

The announcement comes as Deepak Nangia left the company a month ago for personal reasons.

Prathivadi will direct all Satyam activities in the two countries, including customer relationship management, solution development, service delivery, sales and support.  Satyam operates major solution centers across Australia in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane.

“Satyam has established a prominent position in Australia and New Zealand in fairly short order.  We enjoy strong relationships with leading clients across key verticals, and our associates are among the most skilled and dedicated in our industry.  I am thankful for the opportunity to build on these strengths and lead Satyam to a new level of success,” Prathivadi said.

Prathivadi has been with Satyam since 2003 and most recently was Satyam’s delivery director for a leading Australian telecommunications provider (Telstra was one of the leading customers for the company).  He has an extensive background in the IT services industry, having held consulting roles in SAP Australia and EDS Australia, and he has lived in Australia for the past 18 years.

As principal advisor to the ANZ region, Vijay Prasad will provide advisory services to build delivery excellence and leadership in ANZ. Vijay is one of the senior-most executives at Satyam.
