Copper, nickel and lead fell at the non-ferrous metal market here today due to sustained stockist selling on the back sluggish industrial demand despite better trend at the LME.
Meanwhile, tin recovered moderately on fresh demand from alloy industries.
The industrial metals moved up at the LME on lower dollar, though concerns over slower economic growth weighed on the market sentiment. Nickel slumped by Rs 20 per kilo to Rs 1,170 from overnight closing level of Rs 1,190.
Copper cable scrap, copper scrap heavy and copper wire bar declined by Rs 4 per kilo each to Rs 456, Rs 449 and Rs 484 respectively as compared to Rs 460, Rs 453 and Rs 488 yesterday.
Copper armiture edged down by Rs 2 per kilo to Rs 441. Copper utensils scrap and lead both softened by a rupee per kilo each to Rs 420 and Rs 125.
However, tin rose by Rs 5 per kilo to Rs 1,375 as against Rs 1,370 previously.
