Sensex ends flat

The Sensex has finally ended (provisional) at 17,030, down two points.

The NSE Nifty has ended (provisional) at 5,053, down five points.

The Sensex has rebounded into the positive terrain and is now at 17,073, up 40 points.

The Sensex has partially recovered from the lower levels and is now at 16,995, down 37 points.

The NSE Nifty is at 5,047, down 10 points.

The Sensex is exhibiting lacklustre movement and is now at 16,928, down 104 points. The NSE Nifty is at 5,023,down 24 points.

The IT index has advanced 2% to 4,817.

DLF has slumped 3% to Rs 372. Tata Motors, Mahindra & Mahindra, ONGC and Reliance Communications have slipped 2% each to Rs 619, Rs 1,024, Rs 1,173 and Rs 175, respectively.

ACC, Bharti Airtel, Tata Power, SBI, Reliance are down over 1.5% each.

Bank stocks like ICICI Bank and SBI are also weak.

TCS has advanced 3% to Rs 684. Hero Honda and Infosys ahve soared 2% each to Rs 1,676 and Rs 2,395, respectively.

The market breadth is negative, out of 2,712 shares traded, 1,425 have declined and 1,201 have advanced so far on the BSE.
