| Sensex ends up 205pts, Satyam zooms 9% |

The Sensex opened 10 points lower at 9,319, and soon slipped to a low of 9,163.
However, fresh buying in banking, metal and oil & gas stocks helped the index to rebound into the positive zone. The index touched a day's high of 9,550 in late noon deals - up 387 points from day's low.
The Sensex finally ended with a gain of 205 points at 9,533.
The market breadth was fairly positive - out of 2,467 stocks traded, 1,289 advanced, 1,095 declined and 83 were unchanged today.
The NSE Nifty ended with a gain of 65 points at 2,922.
INDEX MOVERS...
Satyam zoomed 9.4% to Rs 148. Jaiprakash Associates soared 7.3% to Rs 79.
Ranbaxy surged 7% to Rs 232, and ICICI Bank gained 6.3% to Rs 444.
Grasim was up 5% at Rs 1,248. Reliance Communication moved up 3.8% to Rs 213.
Reliance Infrastructure gained 3.7% to Rs 562. BHEL, HDFC and Bharti Airtel surged 3.6% each to Rs 1,346, Rs 1,499 and Rs 711, respectively.
HDFC Bank was up 3.1% to Rs 1,003, and Reliance advanced 2.9% to Rs 1,247.
SBI and ONGC inched 2.2% each to Rs 1,272 and Rs 658, respectively.
Hindalco and ACC added 1.8% each to Rs 49 and Rs 465, respectively.
Tata Steel and Sterlite were up 1.5% each at Rs 215 and Rs 253, respectively.
...AND THE SHAKERS
Tata Motors tumbled 4.4% at Rs 149, while Mahindra & Mahindra plunged 3.7% at Rs 256.
Maruti declined 2.3% to Rs 499. Larsen & Toubro, Tata Power and Hindustan Unilever were down marginally.
VALUE & VOLUME TOPPERS
Satyam topped the value chart with a turnover of Rs 451.36 crore followed by Reliance (Rs 234.53 crore), Reliance Infrastructure (Rs 171.54 crore), Reliance Capital (Rs 166.45 crore) and DLF (Rs 161.83 crore).
Satyam, too, led the volume chart with trades of around 3.07 crore shares followed by Unitech (2.74 crore), Suzlon (1.68 crore), Reliance Natural Resources (1.26 crore) and Cals Refineries (1.05 crore).
