Sensex range-bound; Infosys, Wipro drop 3%

The Sensex is exhibiting range-bound movement and is now down 50 points at 8,690.

Tata Steel has zoomed 7.5% to Rs 160. SBI has soared 4% to Rs 1,082.

DLF has surged 3.6% to Rs 189. ICICI Bank has rallied 3% to Rs 334.

Jaiprkash Assocaites has moved up 2.5% to Rs 59. Reliance Infrastruce and Maruti have advanced over 2% each to Rs 504 and Rs 470, respectively.

Wipro has slumped 3.5% to Rs 225, and Infosys has plunged over 3% to Rs 1,172.

Bharti Airtel has shed 2.5% at Rs 655. ONGC and Satyam have slipped over 2% each to Rs 649 and Rs 228, respectively.

The market breadth is fairly positive - out of 1,879 stocks traded so far, 1,064 have advanced, 759 have declined and the rest are unchanged.
