| Sensex remains subdued |

The Sensex after slipping to a low of 16,864 has recovered partially from there. The index is now at 16,919, down 80 points. The NSE Nifty is at 5,033, down 22 points.
All the sectoral indices are exhibiting flattish movement.
Jaiprakash Associates has slipped 2.5% to Rs 232. Infosys, DLF, Mahindra & Mahindra and Tata Power have slipped over 1% each to Rs 2,400, Rs 375, Rs 1,015 and Rs 1,313, respectively.
Tata Motors and ACC have advanced 1% to Rs 653 and Rs 738, respectively.
Hindalco, Tata Steel, HDFC and Hero Honda are up marginally above 0.5% each.
The market breadth is fairly positive, out of 2,594 shares traded, 1,459 have advanced and 1,046 have declined so far on the BSE.
