The Sensex is now up 188 points at 9,836. The NSE Nifty is now up 53 points at 3,012.

Reliance Communication has soared enarly 6% to Rs 241. Satyam has surged 5.3% to Rs 179. Sterlite has gained 4.8 to Rs 273.

Maruti and Tata Motors have advanced 3.1% each to Rs 536 and Rs 164, respectively.

ICICI Bank is up 3% at Rs 462. Jaiprakash Associates has added 2.8% to Rs 85.

Reliance Infrastructure has gained 2.7% to Rs 595. DLF and Larsen & Toubro are up 2.2% each to Rs 288 and Rs 792, respectively.

Ranbaxy has lost 1.4% to Rs 249.
