Satyam has soared nearly 8% to Rs 160. Reliance Communication has zoomed 7% to Rs 228.

Jaiprakash Associates and Mahindra & Mahindra have surged 5.7% each to Rs 83 and Rs 270, respectively.

Sterlite has gained 5.3% to Rs 266. Tata Motors is up nearly 5% at Rs 156.

Reliance Infrastructure has moved up 4.1% to Rs 585. Larsen & Toubro and Wipro have gained 3.9% to each Rs 770 and Rs 236, respectively.

Grasim is the only among the Sensex stocks, trading at Rs 1,234, down over 1%.
