Amarchand & Mangaldas & Suresh A Shroff & Company, the leading law firm, today announced the addition of seven partners to its practices across India.
The new partners who are joining the firm are Piyush Joshi, infrastructure and financing specialist, Dev Robinson, patent attorney, B D Ushir, former executive director (legal) with IDBI, Jaya Singhania, former principal legal advisor to IDFC, and Vedasagar, former general manager (legal) with ICICI Bank. In the corporate department, Ashwath Rau and Rahul Guptan take charge as partners focusing on capital markets practice.
With this, the firm has 205 professionals including 31 partners. “This is an evidence of Indian professionals firms scaling up to meet challenges of India’s economic growth,” said Cyril S Shroff, managing partner with the firm.
Shardul S Shroff, also a managing partner in Amarchand & Mangaldas, said the addition of new partners consolidated the firm’s position as “India’s largest law firm”.
