| Shimla to hold mega tourism conclave |

In an effort to highlight the tourism potential of Himachal Pradesh, the PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PHDCCI) along with state’s tourism department is organising ‘Destination Himachal-Shimla-Mega Mart’ from June 12 to 15 in Shimla.
“By holding this event we hope to bring Himachal prominently on the international tourism map,” said tourism secretary Manisha Nanda.
“The ‘Destination Mega Mart’ will be a two-day conclave from June 12 to 13. The conclave will be opened by the state chief minister Prem Kumar Dhumal and the concluding ceremony will be chaired by Union Commerce and Industries minister, Anand Sharma,” Dalip Sharma, PHDCCI’s regional director said.
The four day tourism exhibition mega mart will be held on the Ridge in Shimla from June 12 to June 15.This will be opened by the Union Tourism minister Kumari Selja.
“The aim is to bring stakeholders, tourists, industry leaders, travel writers and tourism departments of different states and overseas and tourism boards at one platform,” Nanda said.
