The stock finally ended below the day's high at Rs 1,730 - up 2.5%. The stock jumped 12.5% in teh past week itself. The counter witnessed compartively heavy volumes of 13,546 shares as against its two-week daily trade average of 6,481 shares on the BSE.

Shree Cement has surged to an all-time high of Rs 1,750 on the back of strong results.
The stock is now up 2.5% at Rs 1,725. The scrip has soared over 19% after declaration of its first quarter results on July 24. The counter has witnessed trades of around 4,395 shares as against its two-week average traded quantity of 6,481 shares so far.
The company recorded a net profit of Rs 291.13 crore during the first quarter of 2009-10, over two-fold increase from Rs 110.90 crore in the same period last fiscal.
Driven by high volume growth and reduced operating expenses, Shree Cement posted an increase in total turnover by 50%to Rs 922.95 crore during the quarter, against Rs 615.11 crore during corresponding quarter of last year.
