| Shriram Transport Finance Q2 profit up 25.26% at Rs 207 crore |

Shriram Transport Finance Company Limited (STFC), said its profit after tax rose by 25.26 per cent to Rs 207.45-crore for the second quarter ended September 30, over the same period last year.
Its revenues for the second quarter grew by 17.61 per cent to Rs 1,071.61-crore as against Rs 911.18-crore in the same period last fiscal, the company said in a statement.
The earning per share increased by 20.39 per cent from Rs 8.14 to Rs 9.80 recorded in the same period last year.
The board approved, subject to the consent of the shareholders, issue of further capital upto Rs 1,000-crore, the statement said.
The board also declared an interim dividend of Rs 2 (20 per cent) per share and the dividend payout would absorb a sum of Rs 49.52-crore (including dividend tax).
Total assets under management as on September 30, stood at Rs 25,823.75-crore as compared to Rs 24,274.87-crore as on June 30, it said.
