Shriram Transport Finance shares rose 4.86 per cent to Rs 256.75 on positive quarterly results. Net profit grew 37.5 per cent to Rs 154 crore for the March quarter, whereas the total income increased 29 per cent to Rs 1,004 crore in the same period.

The stock opened at Rs 249.80 and made an intraday high/low of Rs 262/Rs 249.05 with trading volumes of 39,581 shares. The scrip made a 52-week high of Rs 359.7 (June 2, 2008) and a low of Rs 150 (February 10, 2009).
