Advocacy group, USAsian has commended globally acclaimed author Vikas Swarup for receiving the US-India Business Council’s 34th anniversary award and for being invited to the Capitol Hill by the co-chairs of the Congressional Caucus on India and Indian-Americans.
“Vikas Swarup’s incredible success story as a writer has made all of us in the Indian diaspora proud,” said David Faria, Chairman of USAsian, the Washington-based advocacy group.
“The movie Slumdog Millionaire, with its twin theme of love and hope, inspired millions of people around the world.
