Sparsh Infratech to set up health resort near Pune

Fast food lures and competitive cola wars have brought in with them a change in the lifestyle of consumers. Results are known: obesity. Experts say the solution is to change the lifestyle itself. With this motive, Sparsh Infratech a Pune based hospitality development company is coming up with a health resort— Atmantan Health Resort with an investment of close to Rs 75 crore. hich is under construction and will be open by December 2010.

Spread across an area of 40 acre of land, the project is situated at Mulshi near Pune. According to Nikhil Kapur, partner, Sparsh Infratech, “Liquor, non vegetarian food, tobacco or any such addictions will be strictly prohibited on the campus. A guest can avail of a programme ranging between one week to three months costing anywhere between Rs 90,000 to Rs 3.25 lakh. This 150 room resort, which is only for people above 18 years of age, will have health specialists and chefs on-board. Facilities for sports activities including kick-boxing, golf, ool, squash, paint ball will be in place for the guests to avail of. Architects have been called from Thailand to design this 5-star facility which will have a gymnasium, yoga room, gaming parlour, one acre oxygen zone, 275 staff on board and no room service”

The management aims to give maximum health benefits to the guests who choose to stay at the resort. "Guests cannot make a call and order for bed in breakfast. They will have to walk themselves to the main hall where food will be served. We are going the eco-friendly way and have also hired an energy consultant," Kapur adds. Kapur expects to break-even by the end of the second year of its functioning. Adds he, "Our guests will be provided functionally correct and result oriented therapies and treatments. We will educate them about how can they change and switch to a healthy life," he says.
