State Bank of Indore, Madhucon & TV18 Q4 results

State Bank of Indore profit up 36%
 
State Bank of Indore has posted a net profit of Rs 190 crore for 2006-07 compared with Rs 139 crore in the previous fiscal, a growth of 36 per cent.
 
The bank’s total business has crossed Rs 35,000 crore with deposits increasing by 20 per cent to Rs 19,976 crore and advances growing by 29 per cent to Rs 15,486 crore as on March, 2007.
 
The bank’s gross non-performing assets have come down from Rs 363 crore to Rs 294 crore. Consequently, the gross non-performing asset ratio has come down from 3.02 per cent in March, 2006 to 1.90 per cent. Similarly, the net non-performing asset ratio has also come down from 1.83 per cent to 1.04 per cent.
 
Madhucon bottom line dips 24%
 
Hyderabad-based infrastructure development company Madhucon Projects witnessed a decline of 24 per cent in its net profit to Rs 11.55 crore for the fourth quarter ended March 31, 2007, compared with Rs 15.29 crore in the corresponding quarter a year before.
 
The company’s turnover for the quarter stood at Rs 183.13 crore against Rs 118.94 crore for the year-ago period, reflecting a growth of 54 per cent.
 
For the full year ended March 31, 2007, the company registered a net profit of Rs 41.70 crore compared with Rs 33.26 crore in the last year, an increase of over 25 per cent, while its turnover grew by 49 per cent to Rs 510.04 crore, against Rs 342.09 crore for the last year.
 
TV18 reports profit of Rs 15 crore
 
News and information network TV18 today recorded a net profit of Rs 15.1 crore, up 39.81 per cent for the fourth quarter ended March 31, 2007, against Rs 10.80 crore in the corresponding period of 2005-06.
 
The company’s revenue increased by 39.37 per cent to Rs 63.86 crore for the quarter from Rs 45.82 crore during Q4 FY06. Operating profit for the quarter stood at Rs 27.30 crore, 14.41 per cent up from Rs 23.86 crore recorded during the corresponding period last year. TV 18 operates two business news channels CNBC TV18 and Awaaz.
