Sterlite has rallied in Muhurat trades this evening on successfully raising Rs 2,350 crore.
The stock opened at a new 52-week high of Rs 880 and is now up 3% at Rs 844. The counter has witnessed trades of over 262,108 shares on the BSE today.
Copper producer Sterlite raised Rs 2,350 crore , about $500 million, by selling convertible debentures to finance its expansion. The company plans a 400,000-tonne expansion, including a 160-Mw power plant, at its South India copper smelter with an investment of about Rs 2,300 crore.
