Sun Direct, the country’s second largest DTH player, announced it was set to telecast DLF IPL matches in high definition (HD) on SET Max, which would provide the HD feed of the matches from March 12. This telecast feed will not carry any advertisements, giving viewers uninterrupted match experience. Combined with Dolby Digital for the audio and sound with 16:9 ratio, it will deliver in-stadia like experience to viewers.

Tony D Silva, COO, Sun Direct, said the DTH firm would telecast the matches in their HD platform that maximises the potential of HD technology, resulting in an audio and visual experience that is richer and more panoramic than standard definition viewing.
