Suven Life Sciences, Gammon India & Pyramid Saimira Q2 results

Suven Life Sciences net down 48%

Suven Life Sciences Limited, a biopharmaceutical company engaged in drug discovery and developmental activities in central nervous system (CNS), recorded a 48.03 per cent fall in its net profit to Rs 2.51 crore during the quarter ended September 30, 2009, compared with Rs 4.83 crore in the same period previous year.

Net income stood at Rs 33.19 crore during the quarter ended September 2009 from Rs 37.82 crore, down 13.22 per cent.

Gammon India PAT up at Rs 44.09 crore

Gammon India today posted an over four-fold jump in profit after tax at Rs 44.09 crore for the second quarter ended September 30, 2009 over the same period last year. Total income rose to Rs 943.94 crore in the quarter under review from Rs 513.15 crore in the year-ago period, Gammon India said in a filing to the BSE.

Pyramid Saimira net down 98 per cent

Pyramid Saimira Theatre Ltd (PSTL’s) net profit dropped by 98 per cent to Rs 10.30 lakh during the quarter ended September 30, 2009 compared with Rs 8.70 crore during the same period last year. Total income dropped by 77 per cent to Rs 57.12 crore from Rs 252.25 crore, a year ago.
