Suzlon promoters pledge total 19.06% stake

Wind power equipment maker, Suzlon Energy today said promoters of the company has revoked over 6.31 crore shares representing 4.21 per cent stake in the company.

With over 6.31 crore shares being released from various lenders, the total shares pledged by promoters now stands at 19.06 per cent from earlier 23.27 per cent, Suzlon said in a disclosure on the Bombay Stock Exchange.

The promoter of the company, Sangita V Tanti has released over 57 lakh shares from the lenders and Brij J Tanti through F/G Jitendra R Tanti has revoked 22 lakh shares.

Further, Girish R Tanti as Karta of Girish Ranchhodbhai HUF has revoked 3.20 crore shares and Girish R Tanti has released 2.32 crore shares from the lenders, the filing added.

After, the release of over 6.31 crore pledged shares representing 4.21 per cent of the paid-up capital of the company, the total shares pledged by promoters forming part of promoter group stands reduced at 19.06 per cent, from earlier 23.27 per cent, it added.

Shares of Suzlon today closed at Rs 123.85, down 1.47 per cent on the BSE.
