Tata Interactive buys two overseas companies
Our Corporate Bureau / Mumbai January 10, 2006
Tata Interactive Systems (TIS), the e-learning arm of the Tata group, has acquired two companies from Germany’s Tertia group.

TIS’s acquisition of the two foreign companies - Tertia Edusoft AG of Switzerland and Tertia Edusoft GmbH of Germany - follows the consolidation of its operations in Japan and is expected to enhance the company’s global presence.

TIS CEO Sanjaya Sharma said: “This is a significant step for us in our quest for global leadership in e-learning. The acquisition will give us the impetus to pursue high growth opportunities in the European market. Now we can offer an even wider range of products to our customers in Europe.”

TIS’s operations are spread in the US, the UK, Europe, Australia, Japan, the Middle East and India.

Tertia Edusoft AG is the market leader in Switzerland in the development of regulatory and compliance training solutions for the banking, financial services, insurance, professional services, logistics and telecom sectors.
