Tata Motors gains 4% on Nano allotment

Tata Motors rallied over 4% at Rs 357 with a volume of 970,182 shares.

Tata Motors has gained 2.5% in early trades on positive vibes from Nano customers.

The stock opened up 1.5% at Rs 348. It slipped to a low of Rs 344 but surged 2.6% to a high of Rs 352. It is currently trading up 1.7% at Rs 349. Around 211,707 shares have been traded on the BSE so far.

Meanwhile, the company has announced yesterday that over 55,000 applicants who had missed out on the allotment of the first batch of Nano, have decided to retain their bookings.

Tata Motors is going to allot 100,000 units in the first batch of the world's cheapest car, which would be delivered from next month onwards. In the second batch they will provide the cars for the remaining 55,021 selected customers of the over 2 lakh applicants.
