Tata Motors website crashes
BS Reporter / Mumbai Mar 24, 2009, 00:15 IST

The Tata Motors website, the online enquiry and booking location for the Tata Nano crashed today, following over 40 million hits.

“There was an unprecedented traffic flow of around 40 million and the website crashed for sometime. It was restored later,” sources told Business Standard. This kind of a response was not expected and the company was not geared up for this, the source added.

A company spokesperson also confirmed the development, but added that the website was immediately restored. The website had put up information on Tata Nano, the application forms for booking, financing details, dealer locations and pictures of the car on its website.

The web site is still not working. But Ratan's dream has come true. It was Ford Company in USA which brought down the car from richer to middle class. Now in India it is TATA's who did it. Congratulations to everyone who worked in this project directly and indirectly, also to the each one who supported this project. MAMTA BENERJEE should learn some lesson out of this issue. It should be BENGAL who was to have this credit, but now it is the GREAT GUJRAT proved them as global leaders in business. One should appreciate Mr.NARENDER MODI for all his efforts.
