| Tata Power slips 2% despite good results |

The stock touched a day's low of Rs 1,062. The stock ended 2.4% lower at Rs 1,070.
A hefty volume of 77,487 shares were traded on the BSE as compared to the two week daily average traded volume of 72,616 shares.

Tata Power has advanced on the back of good results. Its total income went up 59%.
The stock today opened at Rs 1,105 and then touched a high of Rs 1,127.
The stock is now trading at Rs 1,120, up 2% from the previous close.
The counter has witnessed trades of 5,964 shares on the BSE so far.
Tata Power posted a 27% surge in net profit after statutory appropriations of Rs 1,264 crore for the year ended March 31, 2009 as compared to Rs 996.48 crore for the year ended March 31, 2008.
Total income soared 59% to Rs 18,151.47 crore from Rs 11,413.77 crore in the previous year.
