Tata Teleservices (Maharashtra) today said it has launched GSM service called Tata Docomo in Maharashtra and it would invest Rs 1,000 crore. 

"We are committed to a Rs 1,000 crore capital expenditure towards GSM service for this financial year," Tata Tele MD Mukund Govind Rajan told reporters here.

IT Minister Gurudas Kamat launched the service in Mumbai. He made the first call to Tata Tele Chairman Kishor A Chaukar.        

As an introductory offer, Tata Tele would charge one paise for a second in its GSM service.
