Tata Tele to provide end to end telecom services at Lavasa City

Signs definitive agreement with MyCity Technology Limited to be the strategic telecom partner

Tata Teleservices (Maharashtra) Limited (TTML) announced today that it has signed a definitive agreement with MyCity Technology Limited to be the strategic partner providing end-to-end telecom services at Lavasa, a private hill city. My City Technology Limited is a joint venture company set up by Lavasa Corporation Limited, Cisco and Wipro Limited to provide Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) services in the new development of Lavasa City.

TTML will offer voice, data and value-added services on wireline and wireless platforms (both CDMA and GSM), including pay telephony, utility services and business solutions at the city being developed by Lavasa Corporation Limited. When introduced, 3G services will also be made available to tourists and residents. The Agreement also gives TTML the opportunity to offer telecom solutions to several educational, business, commercial, health and hospitality ventures based at Lavasa City.

Lavasa City will host an estimated permanent population of 300,000 and 2 million visitors annually when fully complete. The city being developed in phases will have 5 towns. Dasve the first town is slated for completion in 2011.
